Gantt Chart
The Gantt chart gives you a visual timeline of your project. It shows phases and tasks as horizontal bars, making it easy to see how work overlaps and where bottlenecks might occur.
Viewing the Gantt chart
Section titled “Viewing the Gantt chart”- Open your project.
- Click the Gantt tab.
The chart displays:
- Phases as grouped rows with summary bars.
- Tasks as individual bars within each phase.
- Dependencies as arrow lines connecting related tasks.
- Today marker as a vertical line so you can see where you stand.
Adjusting timelines
Section titled “Adjusting timelines”You can update your schedule directly on the chart:
- Drag the edges of a task bar to extend or shorten its duration.
- Drag the entire bar to move a task to different dates.
- Drag phase bars to shift all tasks within that phase.
Changes save automatically and update the task dates everywhere in the app.
Zoom and navigation
Section titled “Zoom and navigation”- Use the zoom controls to switch between day, week, and month views.
- Scroll horizontally to move through the timeline.
- Click on any bar to open the task detail panel.
- Color-coded bars indicate task status so you can spot overdue items at a glance.
- If a task slips past its due date, the bar turns red.
- Use the Gantt chart in team meetings to review progress and adjust plans.
