Schedule of Values

The schedule of values (SOV) breaks the contract into line items and tracks how much of each is complete. You report progress against the SOV every billing period, and BuildWorkPro rolls it up into the amount due.

The schedule of values in a pay app: bill This Period and Materials Stored per line — the payment summary rolls everything up into the amount due.

The SOV table

On a pay app's detail page, the Schedule of Values card lists your line items. The columns are:

• Item -- the item number.
• Description -- what the line covers.
• Scheduled Value -- the contract amount for the line.
• Previous Apps -- completed and billed in prior pay apps.
• This Period -- completed in the current period.
• Materials Stored -- materials on site but not yet installed.
• Total to Date -- the sum of previous, this period, and materials stored.

A Grand Total row sums every line.

Add a line item

1. Add a line. Click Add Line Item.

2. Describe it. Enter an Item Number, a Description, and the Scheduled Value.

3. Report progress. Enter This Period and any Materials Stored for the current billing period.

Note

Previous Apps is carried forward from the prior pay app and cannot be edited here. It locks once an earlier pay app exists for the project.

How the SOV is seeded

The SOV is not imported with a button. On the first pay app, BuildWorkPro seeds it from any pending approved change orders, and the Original Contract Sum prefills from the project's accepted bid. Each later pay app carries forward the lines and previous-period totals from the one before it. Add or adjust lines with Add Line Item as the job evolves.
