Gantt Chart
The Gantt chart shows a project's phases and tasks as horizontal bars on a timeline, so you can see how work overlaps and reschedule it by dragging. It is a view of the Phases & Tasks tab, not a separate tab.

Open the Gantt view
Section titled “Open the Gantt view”-
Open Phases & Tasks. Open the project and click the Phases & Tasks tab.

Switch to Gantt. In the tab header, click Gantt. Click List to switch back.
Only tasks with dates appear on the timeline. Set a Start Date and Duration on a task -- see phases and tasks -- to place it on the chart.
Read the timeline
Section titled “Read the timeline”- Each task is a bar; phases roll up into a summary bar above their tasks.
- A red vertical line marks today. Click Today in the toolbar to scroll back to it.
- Dependency arrows connect tasks that depend on one another.
- The legend at the bottom maps bar colors to To Do, In Progress, and Done.
Change the zoom
Section titled “Change the zoom”Use the zoom buttons to fit more or less of the schedule on screen. Three levels are available -- day, week, and month -- with the current level shown between the buttons. Day view shades weekends.
Reschedule by dragging
Section titled “Reschedule by dragging”-
Move a task. Drag a bar left or right to shift its start and end dates together.

Change its length. Drag the right edge of a bar to extend or shorten it; this updates the end date and duration.

Edit details. Hover a bar and click the pencil to open the task dialog.
